The First East Valley Art Guild Meeting
The first meeting was a great beginning, with
artisans from all disciplines coming together at The Olpin Art Center, in
downtown Chandler. August 2006

October 10, 2006 Guild Meeting
The October Guild meeting was opened by Guild President Ron
Floyd and quickly turned over to the three main speakers for the evening, Eric
Faulhaber, Visual Arts Coordinator, and member of The Chandler Arts Commission
opened the meeting with a discussion about The Vision Gallery and the need for a
community based arts advocacy art group like, The East Valley Art Guild. The second
speaker of the evening was Professor Sharon Whyte, UAT, Tempe. Sharon Spoke on
the layering techniques of Renaissance masters and her favorite Renaissance
sculptor, Michelangelo. Professor Paul Andrus, UAT, Tempe, closed out the
meeting with a presentation and discussion session on GicleƩ Printing.
